Channel Islands National Park is home to 5 pristine islands that not too many people even know about. Although the islands are close to the shores of Southern California, their isolation has left them almost completely undeveloped. The islands boast unique plants, animals and archeological sites not found anywhere else on Earth. The islands are very easy to visit for either day trips or overnight camping.
